• Baptist Medical Center is currently looking to add a Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist to our Acute Care Rehab Team in Jacksonville, FL.

This is a Full-Time opportunity working in an acute care, inpatient hospital setting at Wolfson Children's Hospital and community hospital settings, working with NICU and floor patients. This position will provide Day shift coverage Monday - Friday and participate weekend and holiday rotations. The Ideal candidate has prior Speech Language Pathology experience working in acute care settings, including NICU experience.

Job Responsibilities:

Evaluates, diagnoses, develops and implements a treatment plan for patients of all diagnoses. Provides care for patients who present with a variety of medical conditions and deficits which impact communication, language development, oral motor skills, and feeding safety and efficiency. Diagnoses which commonly impact these developmental areas include prematurity, neurological, respiratory, cardiac, GI, genetic, craniofacial and developmental delay. Provides extensive patient/family education. Participates in multidisciplinary team care with other rehab professionals, nursing, physicians, dietitians, social services, respiratory, support staff, etc. Works in a fast-paced setting requiring good time management, detailed documentation skills in the EMR, self-directed, and effective communication skills.

Experience Requirements:

1 or more year(s) of pediatric acute care Speech Language Pathology Experience strongly preferred

Speech/Language Experience Voice and Neuro Experience Education & Credential Requirements:
