Job Description

Jacksonville Classical Academy is currently hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year who has a passion for classical education and student development. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with speech and language needs in a school setting. Successful candidates are detail oriented, have excellent organizational and communication skills, and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills when interacting with students, parents, faculty, and administrators. Overall Responsibilities The Speech-Language Pathologist will assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders that impact academic performance. He or she will develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), maintain accurate documentation, and collaborate with teachers and staff to support student growth. The SLP will create engaging, student-centered therapy sessions and coordinate with faculty to ensure effective support within the classroom environment. Leadership Maintain a high personal standard consistent with the school's Core Virtues, vision, mission, and motto Support the vision, policies, financial objectives, and directives of the governing board Support a positive school culture based on mutual respect and shared expectations Be willing to assist others as needed Qualifications Master's Degree in Speech-Pathology required Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Experience working in a school or pediatric setting preferred Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other industry-specific technology The ability to communicate effectively and problem solve in a fast-paced environment is critical to success in this position Knowledge of classical education or willingness to learn is preferred
