Position Summary As a Speech-Language Pathologist , you will play a vital role in helping residents improve their communication, cognitive abilities, and swallowing functions. You'll work in a warm, team-oriented environment where your expertise makes a meaningful difference every day. Key Responsibilities Conduct evaluations and develop customized treatment plans targeting communication, cognition, dysphagia, and related areas. Recommend and train residents in the use of adaptive communication devices. Partner with the interdisciplinary team to develop therapy plans based on each resident's individual needs. Maintain thorough documentation, adjust treatment plans as needed, and communicate outcomes with the care team. Supervise support personnel and provide training to facility staff on speech therapy practices. Ensure proper maintenance and use of therapy equipment and identify equipment needs or repairs. Provide compassionate guidance and clear communication to residents and their families. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program. Licensed or eligible to practice in the state of Florida. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA, or currently in the certification process. Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred , particularly in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting.
