Monday to Friday- afternoons 3pm to 9pm with flexibilty and 1 weekend day- guaranteed 40 hours per week This is a unique full-time private household position for an SLP who is passionate about helping a child develop meaningful, functional communication and reach her fullest potential. The family is looking for someone who can take a comprehensive, individualized approach to her speech, language, and communication development while working collaboratively with her parents, school, and other members of her care and therapy team. Schedule The child's primary therapy hours will most likely take place in the afternoons after school. However, the family is prepared to offer and compensate this as a full-time position for the right professional. The family would also highly prefer availability for at least one weekend day each week. There is flexibility in structuring the overall schedule around the needs of the child and the right candidate. Responsibilities The SLP will take an active role in developing and implementing a comprehensive communication program tailored specifically to the child's needs.

Responsibilities may include:

Providing individualized speech and language therapy Supporting the development of functional communication Working on receptive and expressive language skills Evaluating and implementing AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) strategies and systems when appropriate Supporting social communication and pragmatic language development Developing strategies to encourage communication throughout everyday activities and routines Continually assessing progress and modifying therapeutic approaches as needed Helping parents and caregivers understand and consistently implement communication strategies outside of formal therapy sessions Collaborating with the child's school, teachers, therapists, caregivers, and other professionals to provide consistency across environments Establishing measurable goals and providing the family with ongoing updates regarding progress and recommendations Researching and incorporating appropriate evidence-based techniques, resources, and therapeutic activities Ideal Candidate The family is seeking someone who is highly experienced, proactive, patient, warm, and deeply invested in the child's long-term development.

The ideal candidate will have:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders Current SLP licensure and appropriate professional credentials Significant pediatric speech and language therapy experience Strong experience working with autistic children and children who are nonspeaking or minimally speaking Experience with AAC systems and functional communication Ability to develop highly individualized treatment plans rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach Strong communication and collaboration skills Comfort working closely with an involved private family and multidisciplinary team A genuine passion for building a long-term therapeutic relationship with one child Compensation & Benefits The family understands that this is a highly specialized position and is prepared to offer a very competitive compensation package to attract an exceptional candidate.
