Job Description

Step into a rewarding role as a full-time, onsite Speech-Language Pathologist supporting young learners for the 2026-2027 academic year in a welcoming school environment near Port Charlotte, FL. This contract opportunity allows you to work closely with approximately 70 students in PreK through 5th grade, addressing a diverse range of speech and language needs in both general education and ESE classroom settings. Immediate start is available, with services continuing through May 2027.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders Active SLP license in Florida (or eligibility to obtain prior to start) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates also welcome Experience in educational or pediatric settings working with children with varying exceptionalities Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities Commitment to fostering a positive, supportive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students ranging from PreK through 5th grade Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to develop and implement IEP goals Conduct assessments, maintain comprehensive documentation, and participate in eligibility and annual review meetings Support students in both ESE classroom and general education settings to promote academic and social success Provide ongoing progress monitoring and adapt intervention strategies as needed
