A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Askew Speech & Language Therapy is seeking motivated and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists to provide school-based therapy services to students located in St. Lucie Public Schools for the 2026/2027 school year. 1099 position.
Rate:
$71/hr. Our job opportunities are in school settings and follow the school year calendar, servicing preschool, elementary, middle, and high school populations. Join a team that VALUES their SLPs!
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide speech/language therapy services to students with varying exceptionalities Responsible for evaluations, treatment, and IEP report writing/implementation Interpret evaluative data to establish measurable goals for the students Complete daily progress notes Establish and maintain a positive collaborative relationship with students, school staff, and families to increase student achievement SKILLS |
CERTIFICATIONS
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology Licensure by the State of Florida Department of Health in Speech-Language Pathology or ability to obtain Experience working with children with various exceptionalities preferred
