9666643-34232 Job Description Make a meaningful impact in two vibrant educational settings as you help shape young lives through expert speech and language therapy services. This contract, full-time opportunity is ideal for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist eager to work onsite in schools near Sarasota, FL, serving diverse student populations across Buffalo Creek Middle School and Prine Elementary. Use your clinical knowledge and collaborative nature to provide direct therapy and consultation for students with a wide range of communication needs, alongside supportive teams and enthusiastic administrators. At Buffalo Creek, youll guide approximately 50 students directly, with an additional 10 receiving consultative services, including those in behavioral and low cognitive units. Prine Elementary, home to several specialized preschool classrooms and an experienced SLP team, will offer the chance to support both intensive and integrated settings with a total caseload of around 95 students shared among therapists.
Preferred Experience & Licensure:
Active FL Speech-Language Pathologist license (CFY and CCCs welcome) School-based SLP experience strongly preferred Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families Proficiency in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a broad range of speech and language difficulties Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative speech and language therapy services per students IEPs Conduct comprehensive assessments and write impactful goals Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams Document progress and collaborate with families to support student growth Provide support and mentorship as needed within team-based settings This contract position is set to start as soon as possible and runs through late May 2027, covering full-time hours across 1-2 campuses.
