//info.flclearinghouse.com/ Position Summary The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for providing comprehensive speech-language pathology services in accordance with physician orders, facility policies and procedures, professional standards, and applicable state and federal regulations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Provide evaluation and treatment for cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders in accordance with physician orders. Provide speech-language pathology services in compliance with federal and state regulations, professional guidelines, and the Code of Ethics governing the profession. Follow all company and facility policies and procedures. Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and corporate compliance requirements. Collaborate with members of the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement appropriate plans of care and maximize patient outcomes. Maintain appropriate clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and facility requirements. Communicate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and members of the interdisciplinary team. Environmental Stewardship & Safety All team members share responsibility for maintaining a safe, clean, welcoming, and professional environment for our residents, visitors, and coworkers.

Team members are expected to:

Maintain cleanliness of work areas and common spaces, including employee break areas. Follow all facility safety requirements and immediately report unsafe practices, conditions, or equipment. Use gait belts when required by job duties and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Be able to safely perform job-related activities that may include lifting, twisting, pulling, and pushing, including the ability to manage loads up to 60 pounds as required by the position. Immediately report any accident or incident to the appropriate Nursing Unit Manager for proper treatment and documentation. Follow the center's no-smoking policy. Adhere to all infection prevention and control standards and policies. Follow department uniform and appearance policies. HIPAA & Confidentiality All team members are required to comply with policies and procedures implementing HIPAA requirements for the privacy and security of protected health information (PHI). Team members may only access, use, or disclose the minimum amount of PHI necessary to perform assigned job responsibilities. Any suspected violation of HIPAA policies or procedures must be reported to the facility CEO or designated leadership. Professionalism, accountability, and a positive attitude. Required Education & ExperienceEducation Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program. Licensure & Certifications Current Florida Speech-Language Pathology license/credentialing as required by applicable state regulations.
