OhioHealth is seeking a compassionate Speech Pathologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders across diverse care settings. You'll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans, provide caregiver education, and document progress. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient goals Provide direct therapy to patients, modifying interventions as needed to maximize functional outcomes Educate and counsel patients, families, and caregivers on diagnosis, prognosis, strategies, and home exercise programs Collaborate with physicians, nurses, rehabilitation therapists, and other team members to coordinate patient care Perform and interpret dysphagia assessments, and participate in instrumental evaluations such as VFSS or FEES where appropriate Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and discharge planning Contribute to quality improvement, program development, and evidence-based practice initiatives within the department Engage in continuing education and professional development to maintain licensure and specialty competencies Required Skills Speech-language assessment and diagnosis Treatment planning and goal setting Adult and/or pediatric language and articulation therapy Dysphagia evaluation and management Cognitive-communication rehabilitation Voice and fluency therapy techniques Use and interpretation of
