Educational Level:
Master's degree or higher
Certification/License:
Certification as required by the
Georgia Professional Standards Commission Experience:
Minimum of three years of relevant experience preferred.
Physical Activities:
Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Written and oral communication; organization and planning; project management skills; data analysis skills; Expertise in using Microsoft, Google, and other data analysis tools to create presentations for a variety of audiences.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To organize and direct the speech/language program of the individual students and school site programs to include scheduling of services, participation in team meetings, and RTI guidance. Demonstrate knowledge of federal, state and local due process guidelines and requirements. Ensure adherence by staff to all federal, state and local due process guidelines and requirements. Assist in program development for all populations of children with communication disorders. Work with appropriate personnel to develop, implement and monitor programs for students with communication disorders. Serve as a contact person to the schools and community in regard to programs for children with communication impairment. Remain abreast of current trends and developments within the fields of education and Speech-Language Pathology. Participate in training programs to increase skills and proficiency related to the assignment. Review current developments, literature, and technical source information related to job responsibilities. Ensure adherence to good safety procedures. Follow federal and state laws, as well as Board policies. Additional duties as assigned.
