Desired Background & Skills:
Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure for the state (or eligibility) Completion of a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Experience providing direct therapy and consultation in school environments Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, staff, and parents Up-to-date knowledge of IEP processes, AAC devices, and evidence-based intervention strategies Familiarity with documentation for Medicaid and compliance with
FERPA/IDEA
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to identify speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders among K-12 students Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide direct therapy sessions Collect and maintain accurate records, progress reports, and assessment data Offer consultative support to teachers for classroom accommodations and modifications Engage and communicate regularly with families to facilitate carryover of skills at home Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote students academic and social success
