A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Your Best Life. Our One Purpose. Join the MercyOne Riverside team as a full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in pediatrics and adults. The (SLP) will focus on making a meaningful impact by helping children communicate effectively and assisting with the improvement of their verbal and non-verbal language skills. This position will be 3 days a week at Riverside working with Pediatrics and 2 days a week in Clive working with adults.This position will work with other professionals (SLP, PT and OT) in an outpatient setting. The job requires a high degree of interpersonal skills to deal with complex, detailed and often sensitive topics.
