Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Empower students to find their voice by providing essential speech-language services in a supportive educational setting. A contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist with experience in school environments. This position focuses on serving a diverse caseload of students and offers the flexibility of in-person or teletherapy service delivery.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active, current state SLP license (CCC preferred) Previous experience working in school settings Strong foundation in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating communication disorders in children Skilled with virtual therapy platforms and technology (for teletherapy roles) Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Adaptability and commitment to providing individualized care

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for student referrals Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) targeting specific student needs Provide evidence-based therapy—onsite or via secure teletherapy platforms Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and documentation per district standards Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams Offer guidance to teachers and families regarding communication strategies Stay current with best practices in school-based speech-language pathology
