Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting middle school students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic educational setting near Arlington Heights, IL. Collaborate with educators and families to help students achieve communication and learning goals in an onsite, full-time role.
Qualifications and Experience Needed:
Active Illinois SLP license Professional Educator License (PEL) certification Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred Prior experience in pediatric, school-based, or healthcare SLP settings Strong assessment, intervention, and documentation skills Commitment to fostering student communication, social, and academic development
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for middle school students Provide direct therapeutic intervention for speech, voice, fluency, and pragmatic language needs Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and support staff to integrate speech services within the classroom Maintain accurate records in accordance with state/local regulations and school policies Engage with families and caregivers to provide progress updates, support strategies, and resources Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and ongoing professional development
