9664419-61008 Job Description Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving elementary-age students around the Belvidere and Rockford, IL areas. This role supports one elementary school, collaborating with general and resource education classrooms and providing essential AAC device support to a caseload of approximately 35 students.
Key Qualifications:
Current Illinois Speech Language Pathologist license required Professional Educator License (PEL) active or eligibility to obtain SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY credentials welcomed Previous experience working in schools strongly preferred Strong understanding of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices, or willingness to build these skills Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality speech and language therapy services within the school environment, following students IEP goals Support and collaborate with classroom teachers and specialists in both resource and general education settings Manage speech/language caseload of approximately 35 elementary students Conduct screenings, assessments, and provide input for IEP development Implement, troubleshoot, and support AAC devices to help students access the curriculum Maintain detailed session notes and progress documentation as required This position runs from December 17 through March 12, 2027, offering full-time hours (37.5/week) in a vibrant school-based setting where your expertise will impact student growth and communication every day.
