A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.
Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) Full-Time | Monday-Thursday | 8:00 AM-6:30 PM Timber Ridge Pediatric Therapy is seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to join our growing team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in two dynamic settings. During the school day, you'll provide speech-language services within our partner schools as an integrated member of each educational team. Beginning at approximately 3:00 PM, you'll transition to our pediatric clinic to provide outpatient therapy. Because this position requires independent practice within school settings, a minimum of two years of pediatric speech-language pathology experience is required. Schedule Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM-6:30 PM School-based therapy during the day Clinic-based therapy after approximately 3:00 PM Enjoy a three-day weekend every week Responsibilities Evaluate and treat children with a variety of speech, language, social communication, fluency, voice, and feeding needs. Collaborate with teachers, parents, physicians, and other professionals to support student success across settings. Participate in classroom observations, teacher consultation, and problem-solving within our school partnerships. Maintain timely documentation and communication with families and referral sources. Work collaboratively with our occupational therapists, physical therapists, and fellow speech-language pathologists to provide exceptional interdisciplinary care. Qualifications Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current Illinois SLP license ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Minimum of two years of pediatric clinical experience required Experience in both school and outpatient pediatric settings preferred Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture Why Timber Ridge?
