Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of students by providing skilled speech and language support in a welcoming PK-8 school setting. This full-time contract opportunity, located near Des Plaines, IL, is designed for an SLP-CCC who is passionate about helping children achieve their communication goals. You'll work at a single location with a diverse caseload, collaborating closely with dedicated educators and families.
Qualifications:
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required Previous experience in a school-based setting is strongly preferred Familiarity with treating a variety of communication disorders, including ASD and speech-only conditions Flexibility and strong organizational skills Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families Commitment to ethical and evidence-based practice
Responsibilities:
Deliver speech and language therapy to students across PK-8 grades, managing a caseload of approximately 50 Assess and document speech, language, and communication needs Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student progress reports Provide consultation and support to classroom teachers and parents Maintain accurate records and comply with all district and state reporting requirements Enjoy the stability of a consistent schedule, working Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, with 35 hours per week devoted to supporting student growth. You'll have the chance to positively impact a wide range of students, from those with speech-only needs to those with more complex conditions like ASD.
