Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting high school students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) near Evanston, IL. This full-time position is to cover a leave of absence, running approximately from August 10 to September 10. If you hold SLP-CCC credentials and have a passion for making a difference in students' academic and personal growth, this could be the perfect short-term assignment. Qualifications & Experience Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) required Hold or eligible for state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Prior experience in school settings, preferably at the high school level Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to manage a dynamic caseload and collaborate with educators, students, and families Responsibilities Provide speech and language therapy services to high school students Conduct assessments, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and document progress Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and support staff to support student learning goals Maintain accurate records in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements Communicate with families regarding student progress and recommended strategies Participate in staff meetings and student support teams as needed Perks Opportunity for focused, short-term experience in a supportive educational environment Collaborate with a dedicated multidisciplinary team Professional development resources and support This is an excellent fit for SLP professionals seeking a clear beginning and end to their assignment or who wish to contribute to a high school community during a crucial time.
