Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting young learners with speech and language needs. This contract opportunity runs from ASAP through June 6, 2025, in a vibrant elementary school setting close to Freeport, IL. You'll collaborate with an educational team dedicated to helping students achieve their full communicative potential.
Desired qualifications and experience:
Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license SLP-CCC or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates encouraged to apply Experience in pediatric or school-based therapy preferred Familiarity with teletherapy platforms a plus Strong clinical skills in assessment, intervention, and collaboration Effective communication with students, staff, and families Key responsibilities include: Delivering direct therapy sessions to elementary students, individually or in small groups Evaluating and identifying students' speech, language, and communication needs Developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Maintaining thorough and timely documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines Consulting with teachers and families to support students' progress and generalization of skills Engaging in professional development and team meetings as required This position offers a steady, predictable schedule of 37.5 hours per week, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality services and making meaningful connections within the school community.
