Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Enjoy the rewarding experience of working as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting high school students! This contract opportunity offers flexibility with start dates as soon as possible, continuing through the end of May 2026. Both full-time (up to 37.5 hours/week) and part-time schedules are available, making it easy to balance work with your other commitments. As part of a dedicated educational team, you'll deliver essential speech and language services to students with diverse needs.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Active Illinois (IL) SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL) required (screenshot must be included with application) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA Previous experience in a high school or school-based setting highly preferred Comfortable managing a caseload of up to 60 students (typically starting around 30) Strong collaboration and communication skills, able to work effectively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams SLPA and Clinical Fellow applicants are not eligible for this position
Main Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and provide speech-language therapy for high school-aged students Develop, implement, and track Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Document student progress and submit timely reports as required Provide direct and consultative services in individual and group settings Collaborate closely with educational staff, parents, and administration Participate in IEP meetings and contribute recommendations for student support
