Job Description

Take the next step in your speech-language pathology career by supporting students' success and communication needs in a dynamic educational environment. This contract opportunity, conveniently located near Ellettsville, IN, focuses on providing speech-language services to elementary-aged students—primarily those in grades 2 and 3—with the possibility of working with both older and younger students as needs arise.
Key Qualifications:
Current, valid Indiana licensure required for SLPs in school settings Experience supporting students based on their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Strong evaluation and reevaluation skills for speech, language, and communication needs Ability to serve as Teacher of Record (TOR) or Teacher of Service (TOS) as needed Excellent organization and communication abilities Commitment to collaborative work with staff, families, and other service providers
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech and language interventions for a caseload of 30-50 students Evaluate and reevaluate students to determine ongoing or changing service needs Serve as TOR/TOS, actively managing assigned student cases Facilitate and participate in IEP meetings, documenting progress and communicating plans Travel between 2-3 school sites as assigned to meet student needs Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and family members to maximize student potential This role runs from August 3, 2026, through May 24, 2027, with a flexible schedule ranging from 18-21 hours per week over 3-5 days.
