Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) for the beginning of the school year near Portage, IN. This position is ideal for professionals interested in short-term roles and making a meaningful impact during a key developmental period. The assignment spans from August 10th to the end of October, providing coverage while the primary SLP is on FMLA leave. Service delivery is flexible—those interested in virtual/VOCO options are welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide speech-language therapy for a diverse group of elementary students across two buildings. Manage a larger caseload (117 students) with support from an assigned Speech-Language Assistant (SLA). Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and monitor student progress in collaboration with school teams. Deliver both direct instruction and consultative support, ensuring all students receive high-quality, individualized services. Maintain documentation and participate in meetings as required by school protocols.

What We're Looking For:

Active Speech-Language Pathologist license for the state, with CCCs (Certificate of Clinical Competence) required. Previous experience in K-5 or elementary school settings preferred. Ability to manage a larger, varied caseload with the assistance of an SLA. Strong collaboration, organizational, and documentation skills. Comfort with technology; openness to providing services both onsite and virtually.
