Job Description

A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential services in an elementary school setting, located near Derby, KS. This position is designed to cover a maternity leave, requiring coverage for 2 days per week (approximately 14-16 hours) with flexible scheduling to accommodate your availability. Immediate start is needed, with the assignment extending through December 21, 2026. Open to both in-person and virtual candidates, this role offers a great chance to contribute to a collaborative team while balancing your work and other commitments.
Key Qualifications:
Valid SLP license with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required Previous experience delivering speech services in school or pediatric settings Must be comfortable working with early childhood, Pre-K students, and AAC devices Ability to partner and coordinate with a fellow SLP sharing the MAT leave caseload Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
Position Details:
Serve a specialized caseload focused on early childhood and Pre-K students; no additional special programs on campus Share caseload responsibilities, including students using AAC devices, with another SLP Provide evaluations, direct therapy, and participate in IEP meetings as needed Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success Flexible schedule: work any two days per week, totaling 14-16 hours This assignment offers the flexibility to choose your workdays while making a meaningful impact in a supportive elementary school environment.
