Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Valid SLP license in Kansas (or eligibility to obtain) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates encouraged to apply Experience or strong interest in working within school settings, particularly high school populations Background working with low incidence disabilities preferred Solid understanding of IEP processes and school-based documentation Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Role Responsibilities:
Provide direct therapy and consultation services to high school students, primarily supporting those in low incidence programs Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to support student success Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP development Maintain clear documentation of student progress and communicate regularly with school staff Offer guidance and support to staff and students on communication strategies and best practices This school-based contract is designed for someone passionate about making an impact in a specialized setting.
