Job Description

Step into a valued opportunity supporting students speech and language development at a welcoming elementary school setting near Wichita, KS. This contract position is designed to provide essential coverage during a maternity leave and offers exceptional flexibility for your professional and personal balance. Both in-person and virtual SLPs are encouraged to apply, as adaptability is highly valued.
Key Qualifications:
Current Speech-Language Pathology license (CCC required) Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and early childhood intervention Ability to collaborate with another SLP and share caseload responsibilities Strong communication skills with young children and school staff
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver speech and language therapy services to a caseload primarily consisting of early childhood/Pre-K students Assess and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), focusing on students unique needs, especially those using AAC devices Coordinate closely with the current MAT leave SLP to ensure continuity of care and effective workload distribution Maintain thorough records and contribute to ongoing communications with families and staff Provide high-quality service either in-person at the elementary school or virtually, according to candidate preference
