Job Description

Category Therapy - Hospital - SLP Job Type Travel This opportunity is ideal for a skilled Speech Language Pathologist with acute care expertise seeking a rewarding travel assignment in a well-established hospital setting. The role involves providing speech therapy services with a focus on inpatient rehabilitation and acute care patients within a 340-bed medical center.
Responsibilities:
Deliver speech-language pathology evaluations and treatments to acute care and rehabilitation patients. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans. Utilize Epic electronic medical records for accurate and timely charting. Float occasionally to acute care units as needed to support patient care demands. Maintain professionalism and adaptability in a dynamic healthcare environment. Adhere to hospital policies including scrubs dress code (navy blue) and
COVID-19
safety protocols.
Qualifications:
Valid Kentucky State License in Speech Language Pathology. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Minimum 2-3 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with acute care and inpatient rehab exposure. Proficiency in Epic charting system. Demonstrated resilience, strong work ethic, and ability to manage change effectively. Social skills that enhance team collaboration.
Schedule/Hours:
8-hour day shifts, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Every 4th weekend rotation and holiday coverage as required. Guaranteed 40 hours per week. Contract length of 13 weeks with an ASAP start date. About the
