Job Overview:

This position will involve working in home and a community setting with individuals with acquired brain injury.
Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose speech, language, and swallowing disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs, including therapy sessions and exercises
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and other therapists to ensure holistic patient care
- Provide speech therapy services to patients, utilizing medical terminology and physiology knowledge
- Monitor patient progress closely and adjust treatment plans as necessary
Skills:
- Proficiency in speech therapy techniques and methodologies
- Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy/physiology principles
- Knowledge of patient assessment tools and procedures
- Ability to provide compassionate patient care while maintaining professionalism
- Familiarity with working in hospital settings and critical care units
