Duties Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for patients of all ages, including early intervention and pediatric populations. Develop and implement individualized speech-language therapy plans tailored to each patient's unique needs, focusing on improving speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing functions. Provide direct therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques across in-person and telehealth platforms to maximize patient access and convenience. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams—including physicians, occupational therapists, educators, and families—to coordinate care strategies and optimize treatment outcomes. Educate patients and their families on communication strategies, progress expectations, and home practice activities to support ongoing improvement. Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries within electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems. Stay current with advancements in physiology knowledge, medical terminology, and best practices in speech-language pathology to ensure the highest quality of patient care. Experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program; current state licensure or certification required. Proven experience working with children in pediatrics or early intervention settings is highly preferred; experience with individuals with disabilities is a plus. Demonstrated expertise in conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations and implementing effective therapy plans. Familiarity with working with geriatric patients or those with swallowing disorders is advantageous. Prior telehealth therapy experience is desirable; ability to adapt seamlessly to virtual platforms for remote patient care. Strong knowledge of anatomy related to speech production and physiology; ability to interpret medical terminology accurately. Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams to develop holistic treatment approaches for diverse patient populations.
