Weekly About the Role ShareSTAFF is hiring a Speech Language Pathologist for a contract assignment at an Outpatient Rehab in Pikeville, Kentucky. ShareSTAFF is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a 13-week outpatient rehab contract assignment in eastern Kentucky. This is a Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM role treating a full lifespan caseload — pediatric through geriatric — with strong outpatient support and a predictable weekday schedule. Candidates with both pediatric and adult outpatient experience are preferred. Occasional acute care/inpatient rehab weekend coverage (roughly one weekend in four) is available for candidates who already have that specific background — outpatient-only candidates are not expected to cover it. A strong fit for an experienced SLP who wants steady weekday hours, competitive 1099 pay, and a fast-moving 13-week assignment in a well-established regional medical center. What We Offer Weekly pay
- every week, on time Tax-free housing and meal stipends for travel assignments Travel reimbursement Referral bonuses
- earn extra when you refer a fellow healthcare professional Dedicated recruiter support before, during, and after your assignment Extension opportunities and access to new assignments nationwide What You'll Do Evaluate and treat outpatients across the full lifespan (infant through geriatric) with speech, language, and/or oral, pharyngeal, and sensory-motor in-competencies Set individualized treatment goals Implement, review, and revise treatment programs per professional and institutional standards Complete all required documentation — evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries, physician and third-party payer reports, billing codes, and pre-authorizations Provide counseling and education to patients and families on goals, home programs, and treatment recommendations, adjusting for age, mentation, vision, or hearing needs Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and other disciplines to integrate speech services into each patient's overall care plan Maintain up-to-date knowledge of reimbursement codes, compliance requirements, and continuing education in the field Assist with day-to-day department operations — scheduling, productivity logs, equipment/supply needs — as requested Cover acute care/IPR weekend rotation (~1 in 4 weekends) only if the candidate has that specific background What You Bring•Required Active Kentucky SLP license or proof of application submitted — the client will accept proof of application when requested, so this isn't a hard "must be licensed today" gate the way the Dietitian req's KY license was BLS certification — note: required after hire per the client's own job description, not necessarily before start.
Don't screen out an otherwise-strong candidate over BLS timing Confirm with Client Services if this differs for travelers Minimum 1 year of travel experience (explicit desk-wide requirement for this req) Outpatient rehabilitation experience If being considered for the acute care/IPR weekend rotation specifically: documented acute care or inpatient rehab experience is required — do not submit or schedule outpatient-only candidates into that rotation What You Bring
- Preferred Both pediatric and adult outpatient experience (explicitly preferred by the client — a candidate strong in only one is still worth submitting, but flag the gap) ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Prior acute care/inpatient rehab (IPR) experience — opens up eligibility for the weekend rotation and makes a candidate more flexible for the client EMR/computer charting experience (Epic, Meditech, or similar) About ShareSTAFF ShareSTAFF connects nursing and allied health professionals with travel and contract assignments at hospitals, state facilities, and healthcare organizations nationwide.
