A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

About Us :
At The Swallowing Clinic of SBC, we specialize in treating patients with swallowing disorders (dysphagia). Our approach emphasizes patient-centered care, providing customized treatment plans to enhance both function and well-being. Our clinic provides a relaxing/casual atmosphere where both our clinicians and patients feel right at home.Job Responsibilities :
- Manage patient daily scheduling and coordinate re-evaluations.
- Provide therapy for patients experiencing swallowing difficulties.
- Complete documentation daily in a timely manner.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment progress.
- Communicate daily with staff.
- Maintain waiting room, therapy room, and bathroom cleanliness standards
Requirements :
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current SLP license in the state of Louisiana.
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) - Successful completion of SLP Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Certification in Swallowing and Dysphagia is
NOT REQUIRED
