Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference supporting students by stepping in as a Speech-Language Pathologist for a full-time maternity leave coverage this fall. This rewarding contract opportunity is located onsite near Kenner, LA, serving students at an elementary school. The assignment begins September 14th and continues through November 30th, following the Thanksgiving break. Ideal candidates hold an active SLP-CCC or are strong Clinical Fellows ready to apply their knowledge in a school setting. With a manageable caseload of 50-60 elementary-aged students, you'll provide direct therapy, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and enhance student participation in school settings.
What We're Looking For:
Valid Louisiana SLP license and certification (SLP-CCC or eligible Clinical Fellow) Previous school-based SLP experience preferred (but open to new grads/CF) Understanding of IEP development, speech assessments, and therapy documentation Ability to work onsite and commit to the full assignment period Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset

Deliver speech and language therapy to elementary students Conduct assessments and contribute to IEP process Maintain thorough documentation and progress tracking Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals Foster an inclusive classroom communication environment
