Key qualifications:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) State licensure (or eligibility) as required for school-based practice Previous experience working with children or adolescents in K-12 settings is highly valued Bilingual fluency, particularly in Spanish and/or Portuguese, is strongly preferred as the majority of students are bilingual Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Adaptable and culturally responsive approach to therapy and team collaboration Primary responsibilities: Provide direct speech and language therapy to students individually and in groups Conduct assessments to determine student needs and document progress Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborate with multilingual families, educators, and other support staff Maintain accurate records and timely reporting in line with school standards Participate in IEP meetings, team conferences, and community outreach as needed Envision building relationships across cultures, finding creative solutions for diverse learners, and developing your skills within a vibrant district.
