Multiple long-term substitute opportunities are available for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide essential services on a full-time contract basis in a variety of elementary schools. Roles vary by location, age group, and caseload, with opportunities to work within general education, early childhood, and K5 environments. Key Qualifications:
Must hold a current Maryland SLP license Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred Strong background in school-based speech-language pathology Experience supporting diverse student caseloads, including general education and regional programs AAC knowledge is an asset (for some roles) Commitment to onsite presenceremote options are not currently available CFY applicants welcome
Primary Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and treat students with a variety of speech, language, and communication disorders Collaborate with educators, parents, and related service professionals to create effective treatment plans Maintain detailed records of student progress and comply with all documentation requirements Deliver direct therapy services individually or in small groups Contribute expertise to IEP meetings and school-based intervention teams Flexibly support more than one school if needed (split assignments available) Enjoy working a consistent Monday through Friday schedule (37.5 hours per week), with assignments ranging from immediate start dates to the end of the school year.
