Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

This contract opportunity is ideal for dynamic, passionate Speech-Language Pathologists seeking variety and professional fulfillment. Working with students from a range of backgrounds, you'll support communication development, academic success, and social engagement in a collaborative educational environment. You'll have the flexibility to combine assignments across multiple sites for a full-time schedule—locations include Bollman Bridge ES, Clarksville ES, Forest Ridge ES, Swansfield ES or Elkridge ES, Elkridge Landing MS, Hammond MS, with the added possibility of a split full-time position at Wilde Lake HS and Howard HS. Your work will be instrumental in preparing students to achieve their fullest potential.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution Current, valid Maryland SLP License (required) SLP-CCC strongly preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFYs) accepted Previous school-based SLP experience a plus Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Ability to work independently across multiple locations; reliable transportation is essential

Key Responsibilities:

Complete assessments, design treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy to students Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student IEP goals Document services and student progress in accordance with school and regulatory guidelines Provide consultation and coaching for staff, families, and caregivers Actively participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student success plans This position begins August 10th, 2026 and runs through June 9th, 2027 for up to 37.5 hours per week.
