Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Discover a rewarding opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist supporting school communities in the Rockville, MD and Washington DC areas. This contract position offers a steady, school year schedule from August 25, 2026, through June 11, 2027, with preferred commitment at 35 hours per week. Flexible scheduling within these parameters is available, with SLPs assigned to up to two or three campuses—structured to fit your preferences and commute. You'll provide expert therapy services for a varied caseload that ranges from elementary (max 40 students) to middle school (around 48, peaking at 57 midyear). Your assignment will be personalized based on your comfort level, unique experience, and where you live. You'll begin the year with smaller caseloads, gradually increasing as the year progresses. Support and supervision are available, especially for Clinical Fellows, and a brief pre-screening interview will help determine the best fit and assignment for you.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; strong CFYs with solid references also considered Active Maryland SLP licensure (images of licenses required for credentialing) At least 1 year of school-based experience is highly valued, unless robust references or related experience are provided Ability to pass Maryland's House Bill background check Comfortable supporting a dynamic and variable caseload across multiple school sites Strong organizational skills and a collaborative, student-centered approach
