Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role supporting students' communication development by providing speech-language pathology services within a collaborative school environment near Laurel, MD. This contract opportunity is ideal for SLPs interested in making a difference while the district finalizes its hiring process, anticipating a green light to move forward by the end of July.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Valid state licensure (or eligibility) to practice as an SLP in schools Experience working with school-aged children in educational settings Strong communication and collaboration abilities Adaptability to evolving caseloads and changing environments

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy services in individual and group settings Collaborate with teachers, parents, and educational teams to support students' overall success Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines Participate in team meetings and professional development as needed The district is currently working towards approval to contract SLP professionals, with interviews commencing now to ensure a quick start once authorization is received.
