Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Maryland. This full-time role covers both an elementary and a middle school, providing a dynamic and varied work environment. The assignment is set to begin as soon as possible and continues through late May, 2027, allowing you to make a meaningful, lasting impact in the lives of children across multiple grade levels.
Key Qualifications:
Current and valid Maryland SLP licensure (MD SLP License) is required. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC). Prior experience working in a school-based setting or with school-aged children preferred. Strong communication skills, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset. Ability to manage a diverse caseload independently across elementary and middle school populations.
Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive speech and language services within an educational environment for one elementary and one middle school. Assess, diagnose, and treat students with a range of speech and language disorders. Participate in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), collaborating with educators, families, and other support staff. Maintain up-to-date documentation and progress reports in accordance with school and district requirements. Offer consultation and support to teachers and other stakeholders to generalize speech and language strategies in the classroom. This contract offers a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week, supporting a healthy work-life balance throughout the extended assignment.
