Job Description

Support elementary and middle school students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a rewarding school-based role. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to work across one elementary and one middle school setting, providing services to help students enhance their communication and educational success. The assignment begins as soon as possible and extends through the end of the 2026-2027 school year.
Key Qualifications:
Hold a valid Maryland SLP license Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required Previous experience in school settings preferred Strong organizational, collaboration, and communication skills Ability to work effectively with students, educators, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders for a diverse caseload of elementary and middle school-aged students Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in partnership with multidisciplinary teams Document progress and maintain required evaluations and service records Participate in eligibility and IEP meetings, providing professional insights Collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate effective communication strategies within the classroom Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and strategies for support This assignment ensures a consistent weekly schedule with 37.5 work hours, allowing you to immerse yourself in supporting students growth in a structured yet dynamic environment.
