Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students as a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contracted, full-time position covering a maternity leave from August through December. Located near vibrant Owings Mills, MD, this role allows you to make a real difference in young learners' lives as you guide them toward communication success for the new school year.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid state licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility Previous experience with pediatric or elementary school populations preferred Strong understanding of IEP processes and school-based therapy documentation Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive speech and language assessments for elementary-aged students Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, in collaboration with educators and families Deliver direct and consultative speech therapy services, both individually and in small groups Maintain thorough records and progress reports aligned with school guidelines and legal requirements Actively participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise in speech-language development Support student growth through engaging, evidence-based interventions and creative therapy activities This contract position provides a fantastic platform to apply your expertise, gaining invaluable experience within a welcoming elementary school setting.
