What they do
A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for diverse K-12 students Develop and implement individualized IEP goals tailored to each learner's needs Deliver direct and consultative SLP therapy services within the school setting Collaborate actively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary IEP team members to foster student growth Maintain clear and accurate documentation, progress monitoring, and compliance with school and state guidelinesQualifications and Experience:
Active Maryland Speech-Language Pathology License Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) Certification, or willingness/eligibility to obtain School-based or pediatric experience is a plus, but enthusiastic candidates seeking to work in an educational setting are also welcome Excellent communication skills, organization, and ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative teamAdditional Position Details:
