This is a contract position located in Elkton, MD. This role will be for the 26-27 school year. Speech Language Pathologist

Job Responsibilities:

Evaluate Students:

Conduct comprehensive evaluations for speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication disorders to determine eligibility.

Develop IEPs:

Create, implement, and monitor individualized, evidence-based Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.

Provide Therapy:

Deliver therapeutic interventions to improve student communication skills and support academic achievement.

Collaborate:

Work closely with teachers, school staff, and families to integrate speech goals into educational programs.

Attend Meetings:

Participate in IEP meetings to report on student progress.

Maintain Records:

Keep accurate documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and ongoing progress. [1, 2]

Minimum Qualifications Degree:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.

Licensure:

State license in Speech-Language Pathology (MD certification).

Certification:

ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) CCC certification is typically preferred or required by various staffing partners.
