04/20/2026 Five Town CSD and Camden Rockport Schools Speech Language Pathologist Half-Time with Benefits Fall 2026 Opening Position Summary The Speech-Language Pathologist Evaluator will work with our districts' three full-time Speech-Language Pathologists to conduct speech language evaluations for students in grades PreK-12, as appropriate. As an evaluator, the Speech-Language Pathologist will work with members of the IEP Team to order, complete, and report on speech-language therapy evaluation. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive speech-language therapy evaluations that include but are not limited to the assessment of language, voice, fluency, articulation, and social communication Collect data by use of informal or non standardized evaluation techniques Interpret and utilize assessment data for the purpose of writing reports and developing written intervention plans Ensure that a written evaluation that comports with Chapter 101 is completed in a timely manner Ensure that evaluation findings are reported to the IEP team Attend IEP meetings, as requested Contribute recommendations to the IEP team to consider when making decisions and/or developing plans Assist the IEP team with goal development based upon assessment results Qualifications/Skills Experience working with students with autism, developmental delays, and pragmatic language/social skills needs within a comprehensive model Skilled active listening Empathy and patience Creativity and adaptability Requirements Background check, including fingerprinting Maine Department of Education CHRC Approval Certification as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Maine Pay and Benefits Pay starts at $26,343 per year with possibility of increase based on experience, within the parameters of the applicable contract Health Insurance (including Vision) Dental Insurance (100% Employee paid) 7.5 Sick Days 1.5 Personal Days FSA Eligible to contribute to a 403(b) retirement plan This is a Maine PERS (Public Employee Retirement System) covered position About Five Town Community School District and Camden Rockport Schools The Five Town CSD and Camden Rockport Schools are exceptional school districts located in a scenic coastal community and provide one of the highest salary and benefits packages for teachers in the state of Maine.
