Step into an exciting contract opportunity serving K-12 students as a Speech Language Pathologist or Speech Language Pathologist Assistant for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. The position is full-time onsite, supporting students who use or require Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems. Your expertise will be essential in helping students achieve their communication and learning goals.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active Maine SLP License and valid Educator Certification Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC) required Experience working in school-based settings, preferably with K-12 students Proficiency supporting students with AAC systems Strong communication, organization, and collaborative skills
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct speech, language, and AAC assessments for students across grade levels Develop tailored treatment plans and individualized education programs (IEPs) Provide direct therapy and instructional support, focusing on both traditional speech/language needs and AAC system integration Collaborate with teachers, special educators, families, and other service providers to maximize student outcomes Monitor student progress, maintain detailed documentation, and participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams Serve as a resource for best practices in speech-language pathology and AAC strategies within the school community
