Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the academic and personal development of K-12 students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist. Two positions are currently available, with immediate openings through June 2027. Potential placements span a range of locations, with a special focus on the Flint, Grand Blanc, Lansing, and Detroit areas. This role offers the chance to work collaboratively with school teams and support students' communication needs in a dynamic educational environment.
Desired Qualifications:
Current, valid Michigan SLP license required (CFYs must have temporary license) CCC preferred; strong CFYs considered, especially those with an established supervisor Experience in school-based SLP services (K-12) Demonstrated ability to work with children from diverse urban backgrounds, particularly understanding their unique challenges and identifying relevant resources Ability to provide a copy of official university transcripts before proceeding in the hiring process
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver school-based speech and language therapy services to assigned caseload, supporting students' growth and academic achievement Conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized plans, and document progress Collaborate with educators and families to ensure students receive the resources and support they need Participate in team meetings, IEPs, and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment Attend professional development as needed to stay current on best practices
