You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, engage with families and caregivers, and deliver innovative services through both in-person and telehealth platforms. Duties Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for pediatric and adult patients, including early intervention assessments for young children. Develop and implement individualized speech-language therapy plans tailored to each patient's unique needs, including those with speech impairments, language delays, or disabilities. Provide direct therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques to improve speech clarity, language skills, fluency, voice, and swallowing functions. Collaborate closely with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive treatment approaches and optimal patient outcomes. Document patient progress accurately using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR), maintaining detailed records of assessments, therapy sessions, and treatment plans. Educate families and patients about communication strategies, physiology of speech mechanisms, and ways to support ongoing progress at home or in educational settings. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care for individuals with complex needs or disabilities across various settings including schools and clinics. Skills Extensive knowledge of pediatrics, early intervention strategies, and working with children with speech or language delays. Proven experience in speech therapy techniques for diverse populations including those with disabilities or geriatric patients requiring communication support. Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology related to speech production and swallowing functions. Ability to perform comprehensive speech and language evaluations with precision and professionalism. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology and healthcare documentation standards. Excellent collaboration skills for working within multidisciplinary teams and engaging with parents or caregivers effectively.
