Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2026/2027 academic year. This position offers both full-time and part-time flexibility, situated near Dearborn, MI, with a strong preference for onsite engagement. However, candidates interested in virtual service delivery (voco) are also encouraged to apply. Multiple school site assignments may be available, ensuring a dynamic and impactful experience throughout the year.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) Michigan state licensure (or eligible for licensure) School-based experience preferred, but not required Comfortable collaborating with educators, families, and interprofessional teams Effective communicator with strong documentation and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy to students, adapting to in-person or virtual delivery as required Maintain accurate records and timely progress notes in compliance with school district requirements Engage with teachers and parents to support student success and foster effective communication Participate in IEP meetings, multi-disciplinary team discussions, and professional development sessions Contribute to a supportive learning environment, addressing speech, language, and communication challenges
