Job Description
Category Therapy - Hospital - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by delivering high-quality speech-language pathology services in a leading hospital setting. This contract opportunity involves a 13-week assignment, with the potential for extension or conversion. You'll contribute to patient care on a dedicated team and focus on adult inpatient rehab and acute care.
Schedule:
Wednesday through Saturday 10-hour shifts, 7:45 am - 6:15 pm (negotiable start time)Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required; master's degree highly preferred Active BLS certification Demonstrated experience in inpatient rehabilitation, adult acute care, and adult patient assessments, including bedside swallow or BIM assessments Proficient in thorough clinical documentation Independent, motivated, and adept communicator Prior familiarity with Cerner and Epic electronic medical records systems is a plusEssential Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive speech-language pathology therapy for adults, addressing communication and swallowing disorders Conduct functional, bedside, and specialized assessments to inform treatment planning Design and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions Collaborate closely with the therapy manager and interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation for all therapeutic sessions in accordance with facility standards Educate patients and families on communication strategies, care plans, and progress Experience in hospital or rehabilitation environments, along with the ability to balance multiple priorities, will ensure your success in this role.
