Job Description

Step into a vital onsite role supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the scenic area near Grand Haven, MI. This full-time, contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 academic year involves working directly within school environments, including services for non-public schools supported by the district. Your expertise will empower students to develop their speech and language abilities—making a meaningful impact on their academic and social growth.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Active Speech-Language Pathology license in Michigan (required) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology Previous experience in school-based settings, especially elementary grade levels Strong collaboration skills with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Compassion for diverse student populations and flexible approaches to therapy
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech and language therapy to elementary students, both individually and in group settings Assess, diagnose, and create individualized treatment plans to address communication needs Consult with teachers, parents, and special education staff to support student progress Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school and state requirements Adapt therapeutic methodologies to meet a range of student abilities and backgrounds Provide support and services to non-public school students as directed by the district Imagine building supportive relationships with young learners and fellow educators, all while working in modern school settings.
