A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling contract role where your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist can make a real difference in the lives of young learners. We are seeking a dedicated, part-time SLP for the 2026/2027 school year, working with students in Kindergarten through 4th grade. With a manageable caseload of 20-24 students and a flexible, 18-hour workweek, you'll have the opportunity to focus on quality intervention and relationship-building within the school setting.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current or eligible Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP); Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates encouraged to apply Michigan SLP licensure or ability to obtain before start date Experience supporting pediatric or school-aged populations, especially in the K-4th grade range Familiarity with IEP process, progress monitoring, and data-driven therapy Strong collaboration and communication skills with teachers, families, and school staff

Responsibilities:

Conduct screenings, evaluations, and direct speech-language therapy for students with communication challenges Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each student's needs Collaborate with teachers, instructional staff, and parents to support student progress Maintain detailed documentation and contribute to IEP meetings Deliver engaging therapy sessions that help students achieve communication and academic goals Participate in school-based professional development and team meetings as required In this rewarding part-time role, you'll enjoy a balanced schedule that allows you to focus on both your professional passion and personal commitments, all while contributing to a supportive school environment.
