Clarkston Community Schools Speech Language Pathologist, Long Term Sub Approximately for 12 Weeks; 11/23/26 - 3/1/2027 Qualifications Valid Michigan Speech Language Pathology License and American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) CCC or CFY Essential Duties Provide direct/consultation speech and language services to students with a variety of disabilities and age ranges as developed in students' Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Provide a thorough assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plan for speech and language impaired students as aligned with IDEA and MARSE. Collaborate with the IEPT and general educators with the development of the IEP and classroom accommodations. Maintain collaborative communication with parents, staff and administrators. Maintain caseload records and logs to document services and students' progress. Serve as a resource to the assigned building and district including the Student Support Team Collaborate with classroom teachers and other school personnel with the implementation of appropriate accommodations. Implement and support the teaching Alternative and Augmentative Communication Devices for students with complex communication needs. Highly-developed interpersonal communication, group facilitation, organization, planning, scheduling, technology and time management skills Demonstrated ability to implement and follow through on simultaneous projects and tasks Knowledge of current research base across a range of disorders, changing trends and best practices in the field of speech and language pathology and ability to put this learning into action in the schools Experience and knowledge of children and youth from early intervention through adult transition age Knowledge of the workings of a school environment including an understanding of state and federal rules and regulations governing special education, Michigan Academic Standards, district curriculum, and specially-designed instruction Knowledge of and/or experience with integrating technology into the learning process Ability to maximize technology for effective communication with students, staff and parents Ability to build professional and collegial relations with staff and parents Other duties as assigned Application Procedure Go to www.clarkston.k12.mi.us/hr Click "Human Resources/Employment Opportunities" Candidates without access to on-line application process may submit the following: 1.
